This year’s Rock the Bells festival will include performances from MISSY ELLIOTT+TIMBALAND (her only live appearance of the year) and BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY, as well as many other notable acts. The latest cover (most covered song of the year, by far) of GOTYE’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” comes from FUN. and Hayley Williams of PARAMORE. It was recorded for BBC Radio and the audio can be heard below. From the information we’ve found online, Williams contributed her parts via Skype and was not actually in the studio with the rest of the band.

No Sleep Vs Topshelf Records

No Sleep and Topshelf Records have been teasing some sort of made-up competition between the two labels for the last month or so. Now, the countdown on their website, topshelfvsnosleep.com, is complete and the announcement is available.

The two record labels will be releasing a joint compilation at Hot Topic stores that will feature 20 new, unreleased, rare songs from their respective artists. This will be available on May 22 and is limited to 1000 copies.

Additionally, each compilation will also include a download code for 50 additional songs, as well as a golden ticket that could snag you a vinyl subscription from either label, free merch or something else.

Not a bad deal for $4.99.
